Being a fan of evangelion since it's very beginnings in the 90s, this movie came across as nonsensical convoluted storytelling masquerading as deep and expressive. I am actually amazed it has such a high score on imdb, and people are buying into this 'emotionally cultivated' crap. Half of the time we don't know what's going on, and the CGI felt fake, outdated and simply bad. I frankly felt like having a brain aneurysm with some scenes since the producers obviously tried to cram up as many pixels as they could in every single shot.
